Reading for pleasure

This reading for pleasure day was all about non-fiction books

We started our KiVa journey! We enjoyed a circle time, talked about things that make us feel safe and unsafe and thought about what makes a positive school environment and experience.

🇺🇳 The UN Rights of the Child say…Article 3: Adults should do what is best for me. Article 29: I have the right to an education which develops my personality, respect for others’ rights and the environment

This week in maths we have been building on what we already know about place value. Last year, we learnt about three digit numbers. So this week, after a quick recap on the work we did in Year 3, we have been learning about 4 digit numbers and the value of each of the digits.

Human Machines

This week in PSHE we talked a lot about collaboration (one of our Year 4 Learning to Learn Behaviours) and agreed on what made a good team

We had great fun making human machines and building our class community!

We have been refreshing our times tables knowledge and have been representing the 2 times table with counters and our own diagrams

Welcome Back!

Welcome back 4JC. It has been so wonderful to see you all back in school this week. The teachers will be having their Meet the Teacher meetings on Thursday– we hope as many of you as possible can make it, but we will share the information if you are unable to and for those who can attend to refer back to. Your meeting is Thursday morning, 9am, in the main school hall. After dropping off your child to the classroom, please come to the entrance by Reception and leadership will be there to direct you!
